"I really think we need to go down to the outlet mall in Provo and buy some of those really cute sandals." said Cruew. "I so agree these tennis shoes are very uncomfortable and make my feet all sweaty." exclaimed Taegin. ""We need to go tomorrow or something." said Cruew. "Yes, indeed we do."
So the next day after the final bell of the school day, the two girls get in their car and drive off to the mall. While cruising, Taegin felt a sudden shock of pain in her ankles. "Ouch! That really hurt!" "Wait what! What happened?!" shouted Cruew. "I swear I got bit or something." cried Taegin. "Are you sure you’re not making it a bigger deal than it really is?" "No! I’m really not! Something bit me I swear of it!" "Then let’s see if there are any marks." said Cruew with a questionable voice. So then Taegin lifts up her pant leg and sure enough there was four little holes on her lower leg. "I told you something bit me!" said Taegin. "Well sorry I didn’t believe you Tae." said Cruew with a chuckle. "Well it looks like it’s starting to swell so maybe we should stop at the hospital and get this checked out." exclaimed Cruew. "No, I think I will be good for now." said Taegin. As the girls drove a couple more miles down the road, Cruew started feeling the same Pain Taegin had felt only a few moments ago. "What the!" shouted Cruew in a high pitched voice." "What happened, Cruew?" said Taegin. "Something just bit me!" "Hmm what a coincidence, it doesn’t feel to great do it?" said Taegin. "No not entirely said Cruew. " I think instead of going to the mall today we should stop by the nearest hospital and get these checked out." exclaimed Cruew. "Uh huh, sounds like a good plan." So as the two skinny blondes walk into the hospital they examine the waiting room and see all these patients with foot casts on. As Cruew approaches the main desk she over hears the women on the phone. "I’m telling you doctor I don’t know what’s going on, there has been over ten people in this hospital today with some random kind of bites, and they aren’t normal bites either, we have been running tests all night and we couldn’t identify the situation. Okay Doc I’ll send you the results after the lunch break." Then Cruew turned to Taegin with a worried look. "What’s wrong Cruew?" said Taegin. "I overheard the lady at the front desk talking and she said they haven't found any result for the bites, and she also said the whole waiting room is full of patients with the bites." "Oh man, are you serious? That's horrible!" whispered Taegin with a sense of fear in her voice. "Well i don't think is any sense of even being here if they don't even know what's wrong." "Agreed, I think we should just stop and get a bite to eat then head home and we can have my mom just bandage us up." said Taegin. "Ok let's go." said Cruew. Then the girls got in the car and drove to go to get their food. When they arrived at the fast food resturant they walked in and ordered their food and stood there and waited. Back in the kitchen not everything was going so well... "Ow! What in the heck?" said the employee named Rida. "What are you talking about Rida?" said the resturant manager. "I sware something bit me!" shouted Rida. "Oh I doubt it, it was just probably the oil splashing on you when you set the fries in there." said the manager. "No, I'm not kidding, something bit me." exclaimed Rida. "Then let's see this bite." Then Rida lifts up the leg of her Khaki pants, and sure enough there was a bit similar to Cruew's and Taegin's. "I told you!" shouted Rida. "Well that does not look like a normal bite to me. Maybe you should run to the hospital and see what did that." said the manager. "Ok thanks boss." As they employee walk out from behind the counter Cruew stopped her and asked what happened. "What was going on back there?" said Cruew. "Well, I was back there cooking the french fries when all of the sudden something bit me." "Are you serious!? That's exactly what happened to me and my friend Taegin." said Cruew. "Let's see your bite." said Taegin. Then the worker lifts up her pant leg again and shows the girls her bite. "Yep, looks identical to ours." exclaimed Cruew. "Really? Let's see this." said Rida. So Cruew and Taegin lift up the leg of their pants and show her. "Wow, they are identical. Well I think i should really get going to the hospital and see what's going on with these bites." said Rida. "I don't think you'd want to do that." said Taegin. "Why is that?" "Well me and Taegin just came from there and we over heard the lady at the front desk talking to some doctor saying that there has been over ten patients at the hospital today, and they have been running tests all day and still haven't been able to figure out what this thing is." exclaimed Taegin. "Well I think i will atleast go and get this bandaged and stuff." said Rida. "Ok good luck with that." said Taegin. Then the worker hopped in her car and left, then Taegin and Cruew left as well. As Taegin got home she walked in her house told her mom the story of what happend the went to bed. Except Taegin couldn't sleep. She stayed up all night wondering what the bite was from. She had a feeling that spiders, or misquitos would crawl up on her and bite her when she was sleeping. But then she realized she was just making a big deal out of it. Cruew on the other hand went to sleep but she had a dream that the whole city had a big infestation on bugs, and everyone was trapped in shelter for days... In the morning Taegin woke up and got ready for school and walked downstairs for breakfast, except she couldn't eat. She was in a paranoid state almost. She would barely even talk to her own mom. So her mom sent her to school and hoped that seeing her friends would make her a little less paranoid.
As Cruew made her way to her car, she felt another bite and hurry and looked down and saw the most strangest thing in the world! She say the Aglet on the tip of her shoe biteing at her ankles. She couldn't even believer her eyes. At first she thought she was going phsycho. Then she actually reached down and grabed the aglet, and it bit her hand. She hurry and ran into the house screaming. "Mom!" shouted Cruew. "What is it Cruew?" said Cruew's mom Adryene. "The, the Aglet on my shoe lace it, it..." Cruew studderd. "Honey, speak to me!" said Adryene. "Mom, the Aglets!" said Cruew with a shakey voice. "Yeah, what about them?" said her mom. "They were biteing me! In thee ankles." said Cruew. "Uh huh, sure they were. They aren't even a living thing! So how can they do that?" said Adryene. "Mom! I'm being serious." said Cruew. "Sure you are sweatheart. No go to school now." "Whatever mom. Bye!" yelled Cruew. As Cruew and Taegin arrived at School they discussed their night and the problems they had in the morning. Then they went to their classes and forgot all about their night.
Then the attack began...
People started feeling the pain of the bites and Cruew was the only one that knew what was causing this madness, but no one would believe her if she told them. She tried to tell Taegin all about it but she just laughed in her face, but now she is getting the worst part of the deal, the Aglets attack Taegins ankles so much you could start to see the bone. It was such a horrifying sight for Cruew to see her best friend be practically eaten alive by Aglets. But what could she do about it? That's right... Nothing.
